Happiness by the sea

Agon-Coutainville

We love it for its beautiful beaches and its dynamism

A seaside resort par excellence, Agon-Coutainville offers a wide range of activities that you can enjoy alone, as a couple, with family or friends… Whether you prefer to just relax or have a more active holiday, its large sandy beaches will entice you.

Since the rise of sea bathing, Agon-Coutainville has continued to develop around the seaside, as evidenced by the villas, both traditional and contemporary, which litter the beaches. Tourists first came with their parents, then they brought their children, and so, from generation to generation, they have remained faithful to this beautiful resort.

Nature prevails

Sometimes active and lively, sometimes wild and natural, the resort is composed of the village of Agon (small streets, low stone walls and beautiful old villas) and the districts of Coutainville and Passous where the shops and beaches are concentrated, without forgetting the Pointe d’Agon, a natural site that extends over several hectares of dunes and salt meadows.

Forget the car, get on your bicycle as that’s the ideal way to move around the resort and enjoy the leisure facilities available to you in complete peace. As for lazing about, the large supervised beaches will guarantee you plenty of time to relax, with successful sandcastles and safe swimming! On the sporting side, the town has two tennis clubs, a riding school and a golf course.

Leisure activities for all

For those who love the thrill of the water, the sailing club offers activities for all tastes, it is possible to go sand yachting, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking … and the team at the Mauna Kea surf club can introduce you to skimboarding on the beach all summer! And if you prefer to stay on land, a 400m2 skate park will please budding skaters.

To discover another aspect of the resort, join one of the hiking trails that will reveal the beauty of preserved landscapes, between land and sea. Find our ideas for walks and short hikes in a booklet available free of charge at the reception of our tourist information office and on the hiking section of our website.
